What is 3D Secure payment authorisation?

3D Secure (3DS) offers an additional layer of security and prevents fraud whenever you use your iCard business cards to pay online. 

It makes online shopping more secure for you and the merchant by confirming that you are the rightful card owner making the transaction. Most of the retailers have already added 3DS to their websites and mobile apps and that is why it is most likely that you will be asked to complete this step.

All of your iCard Business cards are protected with 3D Secure technology. It is enabled by default and you do not have to do anything to activate the service.

Approving a payment is fast and simple:

1. If you are asked to authenticate a payment, a 3D Secure page will be loaded after the checkout.
2. You will receive an SMS from iCard with a one-time confirmation code.*
3. Enter this code on the 3D Secure page and confirm the payment.

*Keep in mind that the confirmation code will be sent to the mobile number linked to the card.
