What is a Politically Exposed Person (PEP)?

A Politically Exposed Person (PEP) is an individual who is or has been entrusted with a prominent public function. Requirements for a PEP apply to family members or close associates of such people.

When going through the registration, you will be asked if you or any of your close relatives are a PEP, as well as if any of the directors, shareholders, owners, or controlling persons of the company are PEP.

Keep in mind that if you have confirmed that some of the related persons are a PEP during the verification of your application, you (or/and the related person) will be asked to fill in a Politically Exposed Person questionnaire. If you have mistakenly marked the option, you would still have to fill it in.
