Is my money safe?

iCard AD is an EU-leading e-money institution, licensed by BNB, and as such, we 'safeguard' the money in your iCard accounts.

This means that we keep the funds we receive from you (or for you) in special accounts (also called 'segregated') at partner banks that meet our and our regulator's requirements. The money in these accounts is held by us on your behalf. Keep in mind that we don’t give loans and don’t invest our customers’ funds.

The regulations require e-money issuers to safeguard their customers' funds in a number of ways, one is by holding them in a separate account. Safeguarding ensures that customers' funds are kept separate from the issuer's own funds and are protected in case iCard goes insolvent. Your money in these accounts would be used to pay you (and our other customers) out before anyone else.
