Why do I need to present additional documents?

iCard AD is a regulated financial institution and in certain scenarios, we may need additional information from our customers to approve their identity. This is a standard request that aligns with legal and regulatory requirements. We’ll need you to provide us with specific documents in order to open an e-money account. The information you send us will remain strictly confidential and will be used only to fulfil our legal obligations.

For example, if you present an ID document with no address on it during the identification process (e.g. passport), you’ll be asked to send proof of your address. Check what documents you can use here.

In case your country of origin is outside of the European Economic Area, you’ll be asked to upload a residence permit from a country within the EEA.

We may also ask for a document to prove your place of birth/second citizenship, or to fill in additional declarations.
